Alternative energy is an extremely interesting and relatively new sphere for Ukraine, but at the same time, it is very promising and definitely worthy of attention.
It consists in receiving and supplying energy for the house in not quite standard ways – from the sun, earth and wind powers.
For this purpose, solar panels, solar systems, wind generators and heat pumps of various types are used.
We have already established that alternative energy sources allow to receive energy independently of the state. But there is one more pleasant moment – the generated energy can be sold to the state according to “the green tariff”. Such systems are called networked. There are also hybrid alternative energy systems that allow not only to sell, but also to store energy in storage tanks. All these moments fully justify the importance of alternative energy systems.
Implementation of the alternative energy system requires a lot of effort and investment. In order not to waste all the efforts and money, it is highly important to choose a professional and experienced crew. For example, a wind generator will not be effective in all areas of Ukraine due to the different wind potential. Therefore, before installing it, a meteorological station is set up to analyze the wind indicators in a given area for a certain period of time. The same thing goes for a geothermal heat pump – if the soil is not suitable, then there is no reason to install it, so detailed and professional analysis is highly required.
It is important to understand that some alternative energy systems cannot be equally efficient throughout all the year, solar systems, for instance, produce more energy in warm seasons, during periods of high solar activity, and wind, on the contrary, – with the high potential of wind.
For additional options, you can also purchase the following equipment: a controller (for monitoring and controlling the operation of the system), an inverter (for converting energy), a battery (for accumulating excess energy).
Solar panels constitute photomodules that are assembled into one system and installed on the roof. This is eco-friendly, economical and durable equipment that allows you to generate power autonomously.
Solar collectors (or solar system) are equipment that is used in order to generate electricity, as well as for hot water supply and water heating in the pool. There are two types of solar systems: evacuated tubes system and flat plate solar system. In most cases, priority is given to the first one, as it actively works throughout the year.
Wind generator represents equipment that uses wind power to generate energy. It can be installed either singly or in combination with other wind generators, creating a whole station. Wind turbines can be with a vertical or horizontal axis of rotation.
Heat pumps, depending on the type, use the energy of air or the earth heat.
