A ventilation system is a guarantee of good health and comfortable well-being.
High-quality ventilation fills clean (residential) zones with the necessary amount of oxygen and removes the same amount of exhaust air from the dirty zones (bathrooms, toilets and kitchens).
A ventilation system can be centralized and decentralized. The centralized system includes ventilation equipment with a single control system and a complete unit that contains all the necessary components (for example, MAICO WS 320 KB and MAICO WS 470 KB).

The decentralized ventilation system consists of several types of ventilation equipment and operates independently in different zones, while organizing a complete ventilation in the room.
The ideal option for a decentralized ventilation system is the ventilation unit with heat recovery MAICO Push Pull 45 and the extractor fan MAICO ER.

Overview of the main system equipment

This equipment is installed in separate rooms. One of the main advantages of the Push Pull 45 is compact dimensions and the possibility of installation even after reconstruction. For the most effective ventilation of the room, it is recommended to install and use the devices in pairs (one for the inflow of air, the second one – to remove the exhaust air from the room).

MAICO Push Pull 45 has three different versions of the basic models:

  • MAICO Push Pull 45 K (with electric shutter);
  • MAICO Push Pull 45 O (with manual shutter);
  • MAICO Push Pull 45 RC (with radio control and electric shutter).

MAICO Push Pull 45 K

The model is equipped with an electric shutter, which means that when you turn off the equipment, the shutter automatically closes. An external grille is mounted in the hole or slope of the wall and provides air exchange between the street and the room. It is worth noting that the percentage of recovery efficiency is 83.5% and this is an impressive indicator for such a small-sized device. The system includes such components:

  • EC fan;
  • ceramic heat exchanger;
  • internal cover with a flap drive;
  • two coarse filters (G2 and G3).

For the full operation of the ventilation unit, these components are not enough. Therefore, it is necessary to purchase the following accessories:

  • RLS 45 K control panel, with connection ability up to 6 units;
  • shall sleeve PP 45 RHK;
  • external cover PP 45 AK.

To create the most comfortable conditions, a client can also add a humidity sensor and a CO2 sensor. In addition, the device can be embedded in the Smart House system.

MAICO Push Pull 45 O

The ventilation unit is equipped with a manual damper; when the device is turned off, the external damper should be closed manually. The efficiency of the heat exchanger of this installation is 83.5% with consumption according to EN 13141-8.
The standard equipment of the Push Pull 45 O is identical to the MAICO Push Pull 45 K (fan, recuperator, internal cover and two filters). For high-quality equipment, it is necessary to purchase additional components.
The ventilation controller (control panel) RLS 45 O allows the installation of internal (PP 45 HYI) and external (PP 45 CO2, PP 45 VOC) humidity sensors. The controller can also regulate 5 ventilation levels (15/20/30/36/42 m3/h) and 3 working programs:

  • continuous exhaust ventilation with heat recovery;
  • cross ventilation;
  • automatic operation with sensor control, if the sensor is connected.

MAICO Push Pull 45 RC

The MAICO Push Pull 45 RC is a device with radio control and the electric gate. It is known to be the compact, highly effective equipment with efficiency rate of 83,5%. Necessary components for full operation of the device are:

  • sleeve for installation (PP 45 RHK, PP 45 RLK);
  • external cover (PP 45 AK, PP 45 AE, PP 45 AW);
  • DS 45 RC radio switch;
  • basic equipment.

It is worth noticing that an unlimited number of devices can be connected to the DS 45 RC radio switch, which significantly increases the comfort of control. Another advantage of the device is a silent operation, with a capacity of 42 m3/h, the noise level is 23-40 dB.

MAICO Push Pull 45 Accessories

Ventilation controller RLS 45 K (control panel). This device serves as a component for both the Push-Pull 45 K and Push Pull 45 O supply and exhaust ventilation systems. Up to 6 units can be connected to the console simultaneously, which means that the client will not need separate remote controls for all ventilation units in the house. Also with the help of the ventilation controller, it is possible to configure 5 ventilation levels.
Programs:

  • continuous exhaust ventilation with heat recovery;
  • transverse ventilation and automatic operation with sensor control;
  • intensive ventilation with time limit;
  • switching off with a time limit;
  • data exchange with exhaust ventilation devices;
  • ModBus;
  • shutdown for protection;
  • setup via PC/laptop.

The ventilation controller RLS 45 O is designed to be installed on the MAICO Push Pull 45 O. It has five ventilation levels and three working modes.

Radio switch DS 45 RC is a component for the ventilation unit MAICO Push Pull 45 RC. It is equipped with identical functions as RLS 45 K and RLS 45 O ventilation controllers. With this equipment it is possible to control an unlimited number of devices that are located within its coverage area. It works without a battery, which significantly extends the life of the device.

Sleeve for mounting PP 45 RHK. The sleeve is suitable for all modifications of MAICO Push Pull (K, O, RC). The length of the component can be 500 and 800 mm.

External cover PP 45 AK. The cover is made of durable plastic and is designed for final mounting kits PP 45 K, PP 45 O and PP 45 RC. It is equipped with built-in condensate drain, which serves as protection for the device from water. In addition, eddy formation is minimized due to the optimized aerodynamics of the cover.

Decentralized ventilation system is based on the MAICO Push Pull 45 ventilation unit and the MAICO ER exhaust fan.
An efficient decentralized ventilation system can be organized in two ways:

  • as a combination of Maico Push Pull 45 and Maico ER exhaust fans;
  • installation of two Maico Push Pull 45 units.

In the first case, the Maico Push Pull 45 ventilation system is installed in clean areas (bedrooms, less often in the living rooms), and fans are installed in dirty areas (kitchens, bathrooms, toilets). All the equipment is connected to one control panel. The principle of operation is the simultaneous supply of clean air and exhaust of contaminated. When the fan turns on, the Push Pull starts working only on the inflow.
Such system is mostly used in one-bedroom apartments. The standard system consists of one Push Pull unit and one fan.
The second option is to install two Maico Push Pull 45 units in the same room. One works on the inflow, the second – on the air exhaust and vice versa. The equipment is tied up on one control panel for the most comfortable operation.

The chart shows the implementation of a decentralized system of supply and exhaust ventilation in a one-room apartment with a total area of 45 m2. Installation Maico Push Pull 45 K was mounted in the bedroom, providing fresh air to the room. In order to remove the exhaust air, we used Maico ER 60 exhaust fans, which are installed in the dressing room (Maico ER 60 G) and bathrooms (2 Maico ER 60 VZC fans).
For effective air exchange in the room, we decided on a “non-threshold system” (7 mm). Thus, the air can circulate throughout the apartment, even with the bedroom door closed.
A DC cable (12 V) connects the ventilation controller RLS45 K to the equipment and it also serves as a control cable. All holes after installation were sealed.

CONCLUSIONS

A high-quality ventilation system is a guarantee of good health and well-being. There are two options for organizing ventilation in the house – centralized and decentralized.
It is possible to organize a decentralized system with Maico Push Pull 45 units, which are distinguished by compact dimensions, high efficiency, easy installation and control. There are three basic models of Push Pull:

  • MAICO Push Pull 45 K (with electric shutter);
  • MAICO Push Pull 45 O (with manual shutter);
  • MAICO Push Pull 45 RC (with radio control and electric shutter).

The organization of supply and exhaust ventilation in the room is possible in two ways: based on the Maico Push Pull 45 configuration and the Maico ER exhaust fan or based on two Maico Push Pull units.
